Every voter is required to show proof of identity when voting in person. You need a valid government issued ID that includes your name, photo and the address where you are registered to vote. Find a full list of acceptable ID here.

If a voter does not have sufficient identification when voting in person, the voter will be offered a conditional provisional ballot. For the conditional ballot to be valid and counted, state law requires the voter must provide sufficient ID to the County Recorder five (5) business days after the Primary and General Election or a special election that includes a federal office. Conditional provisional voters have three (3) business days to provide sufficient ID for all other elections.
No, Official Election Mail cannot be forwarded automatically by the postal service. If you will be out of town during the election, you may request to have your ballot sent to your temporary address. You do not need postage if you mail your ballot back in Arizona. All early ballots come with a postage-paid return envelope. There is no need to add postage. Voters should remember to sign and date the return envelope, and to include a phone number in case election officials need to follow up with you.
