Introducing 'Everyday Economics'

August 3, 2026By Citizens for Free Enterprise

The economy touches almost every part of our daily lives, from the price of groceries and gas to buying a home, starting a business, or saving for retirement. Still, for many Americans, economics can seem complicated, full of confusing terms, and far removed from everyday life.

That's why Citizens for Free Enterprise is launching Everyday Economics.

This new video series, created with Dr. Henry Thomson, an economics professor at Arizona State University, aims to break down complex economic topics into simple, easy-to-understand explanations that anyone can follow.

Whether we talk about inflation, taxes, the housing market, gas prices, or independent businesses, our goal is to explain not just what is happening, but why it matters to you.

Each episode will cover real-world issues that affect families, workers, independent businesses, and consumers. By learning the basic economic ideas behind today's news, you'll be better prepared to make informed choices and understand the policies that shape our economy.

Economics isn't just something that happens on Wall Street or in Washington. It's part of daily life in every community and every household.

We hope you'll join us as we work to make economics easier to understand and more interesting through Everyday Economics.
